On Monday, October 29, 2018, the Opening Reception of the 12th Oil Trading and Logistics (OTL)Africa Downstream Week will treat delegates to an electrifying performance of Bolanle Austen Peters’ ‘Fela and the Kalakuta Queens’ by leading Nigerian theatre company house, Terra Kulture. 

Terra Kulture, will play host to the creme of Africa’s downstream oil and gas industry from 6 p.m. 

‘Fela and the Kalakuta Queens’ is a drama presentation that chronicles Fela’s birth and activism. It explores the life of the Legend; Fela, and the women that were an integral part of his band. A unique insight into Kalakuta Republic  reveals the women’s’ unique fashion, dance and African identity. It is a highly entertaining and historical peep into the life and times of the Queens of the Kalakuta Republic and their King. 

The evening promises to deliver a memorable experience filled with dance, music, African cuisine and good cheer. 

Special arrangement has been put in place to convey participants from the venue of the conference to and from Terra Kulture,  in Victoria Island, Lagos.
